Premium Screened Topsoil: Uses, Coverage & Calculator
Screened, ready-to-spread soil for new lawns, garden beds and finish grading.

What is Premium Screened Topsoil?
Screened topsoil has been passed through a screen to remove rocks, roots and clumps, leaving a loose, even soil that spreads easily and is ready for seed or sod.
It is the finishing layer for most landscaping jobs: covering fill after construction, building new lawns and refreshing garden beds where the original soil was thin or compacted.

Premium Screened Topsoil questions
Quick answers to what customers ask most.
How much topsoil do I need for a new lawn?
Plan on 4–6″. At 4″ deep, one ton covers roughly 74 sq ft, so a 1,000 sq ft lawn needs about 13–14 tons.
Is screened topsoil better than unscreened?
For lawns and gardens, yes. Screening removes rocks and debris so it spreads smoothly.
Can I plant vegetables straight into topsoil?
You can, but blending in compost or using garden soil gives better results.
