Overview

What is Crushed Run Base Material?

Crushed run, also called crusher run, is stone straight from the crusher, with larger pieces mixed with smaller chips and stone dust. It is not washed, and that mix of sizes is its strength.

Once compacted, it forms a tight, load-bearing layer that resists rutting. It is widely used as the base for driveways, parking areas and walkways, often topped with a cleaner stone.
