1/4″ Minus Base Gravel: Uses, Coverage & Calculator
Fine crushed gravel with fines that packs into a smooth, level surface, ideal for paths, patios and paver bases.

What is 1/4″ Minus Base Gravel?
1/4″ minus contains small stone chips from 1/4″ down to fine dust. Because the pieces are small, it compacts into a smooth, tight surface that feels almost like packed earth.
It is popular for natural-looking garden paths, leveling layers under pavers and flagstone, and patio bases where a finer finish than 3/4″ minus is wanted.
